Conclusion.

I learned that I really enjoy the sci-fi elements of my life as I was putting my portfolio together. Combining my writing with technology was surprisingly fun, and while I would loath to do this again for a long while I'm glad that I participated in this exercise. I also learned that there's plenty of overlap between areas of my life both professionally and academically. I've really attempted to life in this bubble that my writing was personal, and not to be shared with anyone but myself and those that I trusted. Maybe I should change that.
